My name is Elizabeth but most people call me Liz. Except my family, they call me Elizabeth.
I was named for my paternal grandmother and my middle name is my mom’s maiden name. This was my father’s idea.
I live in New England with my partner, our 3 kitties, Mia, Bentley & Meepers. And lots of yarn.
I spend lots of time knitting up aforementioned yarn, ignoring the housework & watching tv.
I’m a word nerd. I try to read often – I enjoy fiction mostly, which is what led to my B.A. in English. I just started listening to audiobooks – I never thought I’d like them but a book I really wanted to read(How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff) was checked out at the library but was available as a book on CD. Now I can listen to books as I drive, do housework and knit. It’s been quite a revelation, actually.
I work evenings in an academic library. I don’t have an MLS and up until about a year ago, I thought I should earn one. I’m currently taking classes to become a paralegal. It was a field suggested to me. I hadn’t considered it before but I’m glad I’ve started – it’s interesting and I’ve learned so much in a short time.
I used to take guitar lessons – for almost all year in 2006. I’ve got a Taylor Big Baby and I love it. I really want to take up lessons again but when I did I hated practicing and it was too expensive. Still, I feel guilty about the guitar in my closet.
I’m really good at remembering birthdays and other assorted facts about people. If I tell you I don’t remember something about you, I’m usually fibbing so you don’t think I’m a creepy stalker.
