I am really really busy. And I hate it but it’s for a good reason.

19 Nov

From my birthday until now, actually tomorrow, Monday, Nov 20th, has been insane with looking for a place to purchase & live, finding places, not liking them,  dealing with the bank, securing a mortgage, chatting with my realtor, and finally securing a condo.  We found a place!  We love it and we can’t wait to move in.  It’s not perfect, almost no place really is but it’s got so much potential and we can do so much with it.  Can’t wait.
The closing is tomorrow and we’ve been packing, cleaning, doing laundry, ignoring the dishes, eating out and knitting.
It all has to be finished by November 30th, when we have to be out of the apartment.  We’ll be safely ensconced in the condo.
So what am I doing for Thanksgiving?  Going out!  Talked my dad into eating at a really nice local restaurant instead of cooking at home.  Since my grandmother died this September, I just haven’t been excited about any holidays and cooking a large meal for just one day was the last thing I’ve wanted to do, even though I do love it.

In other news, I bought some Blue Moon Fiber Arts STR yarn – Henpecked and Nodding Violet.   I was knitting up Jaywalkers in the yarn my sock pal gave me last spring(STR in Marbles) and falling more in love with them every round.  The yarn came and I cannot wait to knit with it.  Henpecked is so cute.  I just wish I could have ordered Cock-Eyed on the website.   I saw it on Cara’s blog and have been coveting it ever since.  Maybe in a few months…but I also signed up for the Rockin’ Sock Club 2007.  It’s a little more expensive than I’d like but it’s such a great idea and beautiful yarns that I couldn’t resist.  I have no idea if it was a good idea or not but we’ll see in January when it comes time to pay for it
Meanwhile, even though I’m going to be super busy for the next few months, I’m going to make an effort to blog more.  I say that now, right?  But really, I will.
So, see you around.
